Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Current license in the State of Georgia. CPR certified. Requires tact, discretion, diplomacy, and the ability to work effectively with others. Must have sensory skills to differentiate subtle clinical signs and symptoms of communication disorders. Must have the emotional stamina to deal with a variety of stressful situations including emergency response to patient incidents. Responsible for Coordinating, consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. |
