This position reports to the Director - Facility Construction/Engineering.  Manages and coordinates the overall planning, programming, design and building processes of construction projects.  Ensures requisite permits and approvals are obtained.  Regularly monitors and manages the activities of the projects for safety, budget, scope, schedule, quality and general contract compliance from planning through user occupancy.  Manages budget, procurement and payment applications.  Manages construction delivery system and procurement process.  Resolves conflicts between project participants and ensures user group satisfaction.  Maintain/complete Project Notebooks, files, JCAHO compliance and Infection Control Evaluations.  Coordinate/oversee training of all maintenance and engineering staff and facilitate start-up activities.  Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Construction, Design, Project Management or related field; or equivalent 5 years experience within a healthcare environment.  A minimum of five (5) years experience within healthcare environment preferred.  Certified in Healthcare Construction Management.  Employee must be able to read drawings/schematics and utilize auto cad system.  Knowledge of hospital construction and equipment planning, knowledge of building codes, safety codes, NFPA, OSHA and TJC rules and regulations.
