This position is located in Jasper North Georgia Mountains 60 miles from Atlanta. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients during procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization and Imaging department. The RN is responsible for maintaining the standards of Cardiac Catheterization and Imaging practice; complying with established policy and procedure; coordinating all patient care activities with ancillary staff; managing supplies and equipment; and promoting collaboration with medical and other staff. The RN will participate in but is not limited to Invasive/Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Imaging. Responsible for preparation of patients for procedures, moderate sedation and will assist with procedures in Interventional Radiology, Imaging and Cardiac Cath. Equipment experience includes Rotoblader, stents, angioplasty, atherectomy, IABP insertions, left/right heart diagnostics studies. Cross trained in all phases including scrub, circulating, and recording, radiology and cardiac procedures. Direct patient responsibility for geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and neonatal patient care until the patient is returned to his/her room or until outpatient is discharged. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current Georgia licensure as a Registered Nurse; minimum of two years experience in Cardiac Catheterization and critical care nursing; current certification in BCLS and ACLS, and other related skills. |
