Assisting patients (adolescent, adult, and geriatric) and their families by providing coping support and appropriate concrete services, enabling them to establish and maintain the fullest possible adjustment to illness and transplant treatments. Master's degree in Social Work (MSW). LCSW or LMSW license in the State of Georgia. Two years of medical experience (hospital, nursing home, home health care, or dialysis). Knowledge of Social Work processes with skills in counseling, case work, group work and community organization. Good understanding of medical terminology and disease processes. Working knowledge of community resources, financial assistance programs, and services helpful to transplant. Experience working with transplant patients preferred. |
