RESPONSIBLE FOR: Patient assessment and implementation of a plan of care for infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing hemodynamic monitoring, lab values, H&P, and consent. Educating patients, families, and staff relative to job function, knowledge, patient advocacy, and perioperative outcome for the period just prior to surgery. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current R.N. licensure in the state of Georgia. CPR certified. Surgical nursing experience desired. Able to work in a stressful environment. Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy. Effective written and oral communication skills. Utilizes proper channels of communication. Recognizes importance of being a role model for peers and subordinates. Registered Nurse License issued by the state of Georgia. Current BCLS certification. (ACLS if required by department.) |
