Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or MA diploma with at least 3 years experience as a Back Office MA with a very strong clinical background to support an extremely busy established Dermatology practice located in Fayetteville. Performs a variety of clinical and non-clinical duties in accordance with established standards and practices. Ability to perform all clinical duties associated with the Back Office, including but not limited to assisting in the examination and treatment of patients: Escorting patients to exam rooms; obtaining vital signs and other pertinent patient history; explaining procedures to patients; stocking / preparing exam rooms and assisting with minor surgeries and other minor office procedures as needed. May also be responsible for processing referrals and coordinating pre-certifications for procedures and performs call-backs and calls in RXs. Excellent interpersonal, communications and customer service skills required. Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in Back Office duties. Must be a strong team player who is open to change and flexible to cover others when needed with the ability to multi-task and pay attention to details. Computer literacy required. Familiarity with NextGen and /or EMR a plus. Dermatology experience highly preferred. Flexibility to work an occasional late night. |
