Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or MA diploma with at least 3 years Back Office experience in primary care with very strong clinical skills to support well-established busy Internal Medicine & Family Practices at Shakerag Hill located in Peachtree City. Performs a variety of clinical and non-clinical duties in accordance with established standards and practices. Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of a physician by performing the following clinical duties; including but not limited to: Escorting patients to exam rooms; obtaining vital signs and other pertinent patient history; explaining procedures to patients. Responsible for cleaning, stocking/preparing exam rooms. Must be able to perform injections, venipuncture and EKGs. Will assist physicians with minor surgical procedures. Follows universal precautions at all times. May also perform phone management and other non-clinical tasks: (e.g. processing referrals, call backs, etc.) Good work ethic, responsible, self-starter, team-player. Must pay attention to details and have the ability to multi-task. Excellent interpersonal, communications and customer service skills with a professional demeanor required. Strong computer skills; familiarity with NextGen and/or EMR a plus. |
